Loganville is a perfect 3-0 against Alcovy since April of 2025 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Red Devils will face off against the Tigers at 5:55 p.m. Loganville is coming into the game hot, having won their last 14 games.
Loganville's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 9-0 margin over Collins Hill. The Red Devils might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matchups by six runs or more this season.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Alcovy, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They put the hurt on Cedar Shoals with a sharp 11-3 victory on Tuesday. Considering the Tigers' hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.
Raleigh Bolt made a splash no matter where he played. He struck out seven batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off four hits. Those seven strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with four RBI, one run, and one double.
In other batting news, Trey Bryant was incredible, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with one home run, five stolen bases, and three runs. He is becoming a predictor of Alcovy's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 0-14 when he doesn't). Another player making a difference was Justin Gamble, who went 1-for-4 with three stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.
Alcovy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .564. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Cedar Shoals only posted an OBP of .333.
Loganville's record now sits at 19-3. As for Alcovy, the win was their first at home, bumping their record up to 3-14.
Loganville got the 'W' in their previous meeting on Monday against Alcovy by a conclusive 15-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Red Devils since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
