The Burroughs Bears entered their tilt with the Arcadia Apaches with six consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with seven. Burroughs simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat Arcadia 54-9 on the road. The team accrued 42 points in the first half and coasted on those for the victory.
Burroughs' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Mariam Fahs, who scored 11 points along with four steals. Elizabeth Amoroso was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Burroughs' win was their tenth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 19-2. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 26.6 points. As for Arcadia, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost nine of their last ten games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-12 record this season.
Burroughs will be playing in front of their home fans against Pasadena at 5:15 p.m. on Friday. Pasadena is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. As for Arcadia, they will head out on the road to challenge Burbank at 5:15 p.m. on Friday.
