Basketball Recap: Ella Sabatos Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Albert Gallatin

Bethel Park won the last time they faced Albert Gallatin and things went their way on Saturday too. The Bethel Park Black Hawks blew past the Albert Gallatin Colonials 57-33. Given the Black Hawks' advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 113th, while the Colonials are ranked 329th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Bethel Park's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ella Sabatos led the charge by dropping a double-double on 18 points and 14 rebounds. Sabatos has been hot recently, having posted ten or more boards the last three times she's played. Fiona O?Neill was another key player, going 5 of 10 on her way to 13 points along with five rebounds and three steals.

Bethel Park is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a massive bump to their 10-9 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.4 points per game. As for Albert Gallatin, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-10.
