The St. Lucy's Regents's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They were outmatched by Los Osos on the road and fell 66-12. While losing is never fun, St. Lucy's can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 907th, while Los Osos is ranked 51st).
Leading Los Osos to victory were Jackie Polk and Destinee Knight. Polk scored 12 points, while Knight scored 13 points.
St. Lucy's has not been sharp recently, as they've lost ten of their last 11 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-15 record this season. As for Los Osos, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 19-6.
St. Lucy's will be playing in front of their home fans against Rancho Cucamonga at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Los Osos, they will head out on the road to challenge Etiwanda at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Etiwanda is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
