Given Pennsbury's advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 47th, while Harry S. Truman is ranked 500th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Despite the defeat, Harry S. Truman had strong showings from Kiera Martinez, who scored eight points, and Shylah McCleve, who scored seven points.
Pennsbury has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season. As for Harry S. Truman, they are on a 16-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-16.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pennsbury and Bensalem will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 30th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
