The Millville Quakers's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Sullivan County Griffins at 7:30 p.m. on February 6th. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Millville scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They claimed a resounding 60-13 win over Columbia Montour Vo-Tech on the road. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win Millville has managed all season.
Larissa Evans continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 20 points and 13 rebounds. Evans is crushing the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Ayla Boyunegmez, who scored six points along with five rebounds and two blocks.
Even though Sullivan County has not done well against the Rangers recently (they were 0-5 in their previous five matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. Sullivan County came out on top against the Rangers by a score of 28-18.
Millville's record is now 9-10. Sullivan County's record is now 4-11.
Everything came up roses for Millville against the Griffins in their previous matchup back in January as the team secured a 54-26 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Millville since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
