MaxPreps crowned its first high school girls volleyball national champion in 2009 after
Archbishop Mitty (San Jose, Calif.) went 39-0 and capped its season with a state title, the second straight for the Monarchs.
Since that time, over 200 schools in 39 states have etched their place
in history by earning a spot in the final MaxPreps Top 25 rankings. See
the complete list below.
Mitty and
Assumption (Louisville, Ky.) lead the way with MaxPreps Top 25 finishes with nine in 16 years. The Monarchs were crowned national champions in 2009 while the Rockets earned that distinction in 2018.
