The Indio Rajahs will face off against the University Prep Jaguars at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
On Wednesday, Indio came up short against Arroyo Valley and fell 8-5. The Rajahs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Jose Rodriguez was huge no matter where he played even without the win. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over four innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. He has become a key player for Indio: the team is 4-2 when he posts at least two runs, but 0-8 otherwise.

Like Indio, University Prep also got a great game from a two-way player: Ricky Gonzalez. Gonzalez was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Thursday as neither team is afraid to steal. Indio has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 2.8 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like University Prep struggles in that department as they've been averaging 5 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
