Winters is on a four-game streak of home wins, while Durham is on a five-game streak of away wins (dating back to last season): one of those streaks is about to end. The Warriors will host the Trojans at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.
On Friday, Winters sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-1 victory over East Nicolaus. The win continues a trend for the Warriors in their matchups with the Spartans: they've now won four in a row.

04/18/25 @ East Nicolaus | 1 |
Boston Jones spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on four hits and racked up seven Ks. Winters is 3-1 when Jones allows one or fewer earned runs, but 6-8 otherwise.
On the hitting side, Everett Beason was excellent, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with one stolen base and one run. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last six games he's played.
The scorekeeper got an easy start on Thursday as neither Durham nor Los Molinos made it on the board until the sixth inning. The Trojans had just enough and edged out the Bulldogs 6-5.
The team relied heavily on Dylan Rabo, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs. That's the most runs he has posted since back in May of 2024.
Durham has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.9 runs on average over those games. As for Winters, the win got them back to even at 9-9.
Winters' speedy runners might be the difference in Tuesday's game. The Warriors have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4.3 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Durham, though, as they've been averaging only 1.2 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Winters continue to outrun the ball?
Winters was able to grind out a solid victory over Durham in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, winning 13-8. Will the Warriors repeat their success, or do the Trojans have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
