Having just played yesterday, the Trabuco Hills Mustangs will jump right back in to play the San Dieguito Academy Mustangs at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
Trabuco Hills managed to keep up with Santa Cruz until halftime on Thursday, but things quickly went downhill from there. Trabuco Hills' tough 44-23 defeat to Santa Cruz might stick with them for a while. While losing is never fun, Trabuco Hills can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 668th, while Santa Cruz is ranked 251st).
Meanwhile, San Dieguito Academy earned a 39-29 victory over St. Joseph Academy on Thursday.
Trabuco Hills has been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-9 record this season. As for San Dieguito Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season.
