King's Academy will face off against Menlo School at 4:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Both come into the  matchup bolstered by wins in their previous  matches.
On Saturday, King's Academy beat Los Altos 7-2. That looming  7-2 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Knights yet this  season.

 Toby Trotter and  Dominic Myung made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound,  Trotter   tossed four innings while giving up just two earned runs off   seven  hits. Meanwhile,  Myung   pitched three innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   two  hits. What's more,  he posted four  strikeouts, the most he's  had since back in April of 2024. At bat,  Trotter  scored a  run and  stole a base while  getting on base  in all four of his plate appearances, while  Myung  scored two  runs and  stole a base while  getting on base  in three of his five plate appearances. That  stolen base was  Trotter's first of the season.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Justin Cho, who  went 2-for-4 with one  stolen base, two  RBI,  and one  double.  Brandon Kinoshita also deserves some recognition as  he  got his first  hit of the season.
Meanwhile, Menlo School got themselves on the board against Evergreen Valley on Thursday, but Evergreen Valley never followed suit. They were the clear victor by  an  11-0 margin over the Cougars. The Knights' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most  runs they've scored all season.
 Jack Freehill was  incredible,  scoring two  runs and  stealing a base while going 3-for-4. Another player making a difference was  Fletcher Cahill, who  scored a  run while going 2-for-2.
 Menlo School  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .559. That's the best  OBP they've posted all season.
 The  win made it two in a row for Menlo School and  bumps their season record up to 2-3. A key ingredient in that success has been their performance when it comes to  hits: they averaged an imposing 11.5  hits in those games compared to only 2.67 in the others. As for King's Academy, they now  have a winning record of 3-2.
Menlo School's hitters will have their work cut out for them  on Tuesday. King's Academy has been retiring batters left and right this season,  having  averaged 7.6  strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Menlo School, though, as  they've been averaging  only 3.8  strikeouts. Will King's Academy keep running through batters, or will Menlo School buck the trend?
