After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Tonganoxie, Lansing was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They strolled past the West Chargers with points to spare, taking the game 36-20. The Lions have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Chargers, too.
Jaxon Pollard was his usual excellent self, rushing for 197 yards and four scores.
West lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Nasir'E Williams-Brown, who rushed for 85 yards and one touchdown on only 11 carries, and also picked up 71 receiving yards and one TD. Another player making a difference was Josiah Wilkie, who threw for 261 yards and a pair of touchdowns.
The victory got Lansing back to even at 2-2. As for West, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.
