Baseball Recap: Fellowship Christian Has No Trouble Against Norcross

Fellowship Christian was handed a heart-breaking two-run loss in their last match, but they sure didn't let that happen against Norcross on Friday. The Fellowship Christian Paladins put the hurt on the Norcross Blue Devils with a sharp 11-2 win. The Paladins might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four contests by nine runs or more this season.

Will Bracken tossed a big game, tossing six innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one walk any time he's pitched this season.

At the plate, Mack Town and Jake Brannon did most of the damage at the plate: Town scored two runs and stole Three bases. while going 2-for-4, while Brannon scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Walker Waggoner, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Fellowship Christian's victory bumped their record up to 7-3. As for Norcross, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season.

When Fellowship Christian and Norcross next hit the field, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Fellowship Christian will try to stop Roswell's three-game winning streak when they meet at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Fellowship Christian's pitching crew has only allowed 3.4 runs per game this season, so Norcross' hitters will have their work cut out for them. Similarly, Norcross will square off against Redan and their three-game winning streak at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Fellowship Christian is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.7 runs per game this season.
