The Reseda Regents lost against the Kennedy Cougars back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. Reseda was beaten by the Cougars 62-28. Reseda has struggled against the Cougars recently, as their match on Monday was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.
Andreya Villa was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 19 points and 13 rebounds for Kennedy. The team also got some help courtesy of Melissa Moran, who scored four points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Reseda dropped their record down to 5-10 with that loss, which was their third straight at home. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 24.0 points per game. As for Kennedy, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 21-4.
Reseda will head out on the road to challenge the Pythons at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Panorama focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 20 on Thursday. As for Kennedy, they will be playing at home against the Tigers at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. San Fernando will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 626th, while the Cougars are ranked 257th).
