The Canistota Hawks will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against the Platte/Geddes Black Panthers at 1:00 p.m. on Friday.
Last Thursday, Canistota came up short against Gayville-Volin and fell 45-38.
Meanwhile, Platte/Geddes had to endure a six-game losing streak dating back to last season, but that streak is no more. They walked away with a 39-30 win over Gregory last Friday. That 39-30 margin sets a new team best for Platte/Geddes this season.
Canistota's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Platte/Geddes, their victory ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 1-3.
Canistota suffered a grim 58-33 defeat to Platte/Geddes in their previous meeting back in December of 2022. Can Canistota avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
