Softball Recap: Thomson Extends Winning Streak to Three

Thomson had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 15.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. They blew past the Glenn Hills Spartans 17-0. The result was nothing new for the Bulldogs, who have now won six games by nine runs or more so far this season.

Chloe Smith looked comfortable as she pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Janiya Scott, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in August. Alexis Norman was another key player, earning two runs and three stolen bases.

Thomson now has a winning record of 8-7. As for Glenn Hills, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-6.
