The South Colonels will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against the Wachusett Regional Mountaineers at 6:30 p.m. Wachusett Regional took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on South, who comes in off a win.
On Monday, South made easy work of the Pirates and carried off a 64-44 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for South.
Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 76-35, which was the final score in Wachusett Regional's tilt against the Red Raiders on Thursday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Wachusett Regional has scored all season.
South's victory bumped their record up to 7-9. As for Wachusett Regional, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-11 record this season.
South took a serious blow against the Mountaineers when the teams last played back in February of 2022, falling 66-27. Can South avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
