The Willits Wolverines will take on the Etna Lions in a holiday battle at  at 3:30  p.m.  on Saturday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Willits has seven straight  victories, Etna has three straight  defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.
While Willits didn't have the best season last year (they finished 9-17), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. Everything went their way against South Fork on Thursday as Willits made off with  a  46-23 win. The Wolverines have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five  contests by 23  points or more this season.
  Cecily Potter and  Jazmarie Henson were among the main playmakers for Willits as the former  dropped  a double-double on 15 points and ten  rebounds and the latter  almost  dropped  a double-double on nine points and nine  rebounds.  Arion Martin was another key player,  putting up  no  points along with eight  boards, three  steals,  and three  blocks.
 Meanwhile,  Etna played a tough  match  last Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They had to suffer through a   64-23 loss at the hands of Pyramid Lake. The Lions were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at  34-11.
 Etna's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Willits, their victory bumped their record up to 7-2.
