On Friday Flagstaff will have to hit the road after three straight games at home. They will venture away from home to  face off against the Mingus Marauders  at 7:00  p.m. Flagstaff will be strutting in after a  win while Mingus will be coming in after a  loss.
 Flagstaff is headed in fresh off scoring the most  points they have all season. They strolled past Copper Canyon with  points to spare on Thursday, taking the game  45-28.
 Flagstaff's success was spearheaded by the efforts of   Jadon Wetzel, who gained 173 total yards and three touchdowns, and   Chase Brown, who threw for 310 yards and three touchdowns. Wetzel's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 112  rushing yards dating back to last season.  Conrad Poer did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 84  receiving yards.
 Flagstaff wouldn't let Copper Canyon keep a hold of the ball as they managed to force four fumbles. It was truly a group effort as  Ethan Suda,  Tuffy Callander,  Garrett Degraff,  and  Wyatt Ramsgate picked up one apiece.
 Meanwhile,  after soaring to 39  points the game before, Mingus was a bit more limited  in their  match  on Friday. They took a hard  24-8 fall against Deer Valley.
 Flagstaff's victory was  their third straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 4-1. As for Mingus, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-4.
 Friday's   contest might be decided in the trenches. Flagstaff has been excellent on the ground this season,  having  averaged 180.6  rushing yards per game. It's a different story for Mingus, though, as  they've been averaging  only 79.8. How will they fare against such a dominant running game?
 Flagstaff lost to Mingus on the road  by a decisive  29-10 margin  in their previous matchup  back in September of 2023. Can Flagstaff avenge their  loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
