The Maplewood Tigers waltzed into their matchup on Monday with seven straight wins but they left with eight. They walked away with a 43-32 win over Cochranton. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Maplewood also won the last time the pair played back in January.
Cochranton lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Eve Pfeiffer, who scored ten points along with two steals and two blocks. Another player making a difference was Claire McCartney, who scored six points along with nine rebounds.
Maplewood's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 19-3. As for Cochranton, their loss dropped their record down to 11-10.
Maplewood does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Cochranton, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Youngsville at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Youngsville comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 20 points in their last three games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
