The Southwood Knights waltzed into their match on Thursday with three straight wins but they left with four. They came out on top against Peru by a score of 49-36. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Southwood also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2023.
Leading Southwood to victory were Hali Pershing and Gracie Lambert. Pershing scored 13 points along with five rebounds, while Lambert scored 13 points along with two steals.
Southwood pushed their record up to 6-11 with that victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.0 points per game. As for Peru, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-19.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Southwood will take on Maconaquah at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Peru, they will be playing at home against Pioneer at 7:45 p.m. on Thursday.
