The Classical Academy got themselves on the board against Sand Creek on Thursday, but Sand Creek never followed suit. They put the hurt on the Scorpions with a sharp 11-0 victory. The win continues a trend for the Titans in their matchups with the Scorpions: they've now won six in a row.

Ada Wilson was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out ten over six innings pitched. Wilson was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played.

In other batting news, The Classical Academy got a massive performance out of Basil Murphy, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, two doubles, and one stolen base. Those two doubles gave Murphy a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Asher Murphy, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one double.

The Classical Academy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .412. They are a perfect 6-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

The Classical Academy's victory bumped their record up to 8-3. As for Sand Creek, their loss was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. The Classical Academy will take on Woodland Park at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Panthers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 14.78 runs per game on average), something the Titans will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Sand Creek, they will challenge Widefield at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. The Scorpions' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Gladiators have averaged an impressive 10.6 runs per game this season.
