The Public Safety Academy Phoenix lost against the Palm Valley FIREBIRDS back in January of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Public Safety Academy fell 50-40 to Palm Valley. Public Safety Academy has struggled against Palm Valley recently, as their contest on Thursday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Palm Valley's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Alex Ratner, who dropped a double-double on 10 points and 14 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Donovan Knott, who scored 13 points along with 3 steals.
Public Safety Academy now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Palm Valley, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Public Safety Academy won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Desert Mirage at 5:00 p.m. on December 1st. Hopefully Desert Mirage focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 20 on Monday. As for Palm Valley, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against West Shores at 4:00 p.m. West Shores is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
