 Meanwhile, Stevenson entered their  game against Pacific Grove  on Thursday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. Stevenson fell just short of Pacific Grove by a score of  1-0. The  contest was a  0-0 toss-up at halftime, but the Pirates couldn't quite close it out.
 Stevenson's loss dropped their record down to 5-3-4. As for Gonzales, their win bumped their record up to 6-7-2.
