The Mars Fightin' Planets won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Monday. Their tough 57-31 loss to North Hills might stick with them for a while. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Mars has scored all season.
Mars lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Mya Moore, who scored four points along with three steals and three blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Alexis Cashdollar, who scored ten points.
Mars' defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 10-10. As for North Hills, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 11-6.
Mars will look to defend their home court on Thursday against the Hurricanes at 7:30 p.m. New Castle has now lost nine straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 29. North Hills does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
