This season hasn't been kind to the Tri-Valley Bulldogs, who are still winless after their 16th matchup. They took a 37-28 hit to the loss column at the hands of Williams Valley on Monday. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Tri-Valley in their matchups with the Vikings: they've now lost five in a row.
When it comes to explaining why Tri-Valley lost, one person who can't be blamed is Cassie Huntzinger. Despite the final result, she scored 13 points. Avery Miller was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with 12 rebounds.
Tri-Valley dropped their record down to 0-16 with that defeat, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Williams Valley, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-5.
Tri-Valley will look to defend their home court on Thursday against the Red Raiders at 7:30 p.m. Our Lady of Lourdes Regional presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Bulldogs in Pennsylvania (the Red Raiders are ranked 287th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 650th). Williams Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
