The Oxnard Yellowjackets entered their tilt with the Dos Pueblos Chargers with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. Oxnard enjoyed a cozy 65-50 win over the Chargers on Tuesday. That's another feather in the cap for Oxnard, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Sofia Salgado continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 16 points along with six rebounds and six steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Kayla Lumas, who scored 13 points along with two blocks.
Oxnard has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 14 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 22-5 record this season. As for Dos Pueblos, their loss ended a ten-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 18-8.
Oxnard will head out on the road to take on the Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Ventura is on a seven-game streak of home wins, the Yellowjackets a six-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court. Dos Pueblos will take on the Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Buena will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.
