After three games on the road, East Bakersfield is heading back home. They will take on the Wasco Tigers at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Wasco took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on East Bakersfield, who comes in off a win.
East Bakersfield has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four games by 27 points or more this season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Saturday as they easily beat Del Oro 53-20 on the road.
Meanwhile, Wasco's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their fifth straight loss. They were outmatched by Summit Charter Collegiate Academy on the road and fell 58-27.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Camila Almanza, who scored 9 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Illiana Villanueva, who scored 8 points along with 4 steals.
The losses dropped East Bakersfield to 5-5 and Del Oro to 0-6.
East Bakersfield strolled past Wasco when the teams last played back in December of 2021 by a score of 45-29. Will East Bakersfield repeat their success, or does Wasco have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
