The Klein Cain Hurricanes fought the good fight in their overtime contest against the Tomball Cougars on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell 60-52 to the Cougars. While losing is never fun, Klein Cain can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 512th, while Tomball is ranked 208th).
Tomball got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Kylee Symons out in front who scored 11 points along with seven rebounds and four steals. Another player making a difference was Callia James, who scored eight points along with two steals.
Klein Cain has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-18 record this season. As for Tomball, they pushed their record up to 25-9 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home.
Klein Cain does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Tomball also has no future games currently scheduled.
