North Tahoe is 0-3 against Oasis Academy since April of 2024 but things could change on Friday. The Lakers will head out on the road to face off against the Bighorns at 3:00 p.m. North Tahoe is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.3 runs per game this season.
North Tahoe will bounce into Friday's game after beating West Wendover, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. The Lakers walked away with a 9-6 victory over the Wolverines two weeks ago.

Noah Glickman made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out ten batters over 6.2 innings while giving up three earned (and three unearned) runs off seven hits. Those ten strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-4.
Glickman wasn't the only one making solid contact as six players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Peter Rusek, who went 2-for-3 with two triples, three runs, and one RBI. Those two triples gave Rusek a new career-high. Curtis Edmunds was another, scoring three runs while going 1-for-3.
Meanwhile, Oasis Academy had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 6-5 W against the Mustangs. That's two games straight that the Bighorns have won by just one run.
Like North Tahoe, Oasis Academy also got a great game from a two-way player: Ryder McNabb. He struck out nine batters over seven innings while giving up four earned (and one unearned) runs off seven hits. McNabb was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and two RBI.
In other batting news, Joshua Gusewelle was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-2.
North Tahoe has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.4 runs over those games. As for Oasis Academy, their record is now 15-3.
Friday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. North Tahoe hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .319. However, it's not like Oasis Academy struggles in that department as they've averaged .399. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
