They took a  blow against the Mater Dei Monarchs on Friday, falling  40-7. The Lions were not able to make up for their  loss to the Monarchs from their previous meeting  back in October of 2024.
 Koa Smith-Mayall threw for 35 yards  on five of ten attempts.   Clark Cokley was his top target, picking up 45 receiving yards.
  Justin Lewis had a dynamite game For Mater Dei., rushing for 64 yards and three  scores on only nine carries. Those  three  rushing touchdowns gave  Lewis a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of  Ryan Hopkins, who threw for 276 yards  on 23 of 36 attempts.
JSerra Catholic is  on  a  four-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 3-6. As for Mater Dei, they have  been performing  well recently as they've  won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record  this season.
