The Highland Rams will face off against the Richfield Wildcats at 9:00 a.m. on Friday. Highland will be strutting in after a victory while Richfield will be coming in after a defeat.
Highland had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They blew past Century 18-2 on Wednesday. The Rams have beaten the Diamondbacks the last seven times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Diamondbacks has come to flipping the script.
Nash Randall made a big impact no matter where he played. He pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. Randall was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in four of his six plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
In other pitching news, Garrett Grayson looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. What's more, he posted five strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April of 2025.

Back at the plate, Cannon Eddie and Jake Sasser did most of the damage at the plate: Eddie got on base in five of his six plate appearances with seven RBI, three doubles, and one stolen base, while Sasser got on base in all six of his plate appearances with three stolen bases, four runs, and one double. Those four runs gave Sasser a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Cooper Colonel, who went 3-for-6 with one triple and two RBI.
Highland always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .588. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Century only posted an OBP of .333.
Meanwhile, Richfield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 11-1 to Pine View.
Richfield saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Porter Brower, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one double. Those hits marked the first that Brower has got this season.
