La Mirada is a perfect 3-0 against La Serna since February of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Matadores will host the Lancers at 6:00 p.m. La Mirada is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last three games.
La Mirada's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. Everything went their way against Bellflower as they made off with a 9-0 victory. The Matadores might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine games by six runs or more this season.

Blake Barberena was excellent, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two doubles and one run. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March. Jesse Colon was another key player, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with two runs and one RBI.
La Mirada hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least five batters in six consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, La Serna posted their closest win since May 15, 2025 on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Laguna Beach, sneaking past 3-2.
Noah Fajardo looked comfortable as he pitched 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He is becoming a predictor of La Serna's success: when he allows at most one earned run the team is 2-1 (and 11-12-1 when he doesn't).
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Adrian Dominguez, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.
La Mirada's victory bumped their record up to 21-6. As for La Serna, the win got them back to even at 13-13-1.
La Mirada got the 'W' in their previous meeting back in March of 2021 against La Serna by a conclusive 9-2 score. Will the Matadores repeat their success, or do the Lancers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
