Hanover Central lost to Merrillville back in October of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Saturday. The Wildcats walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Pirates. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Wildcats.

Hanover Central found their leader in sophomore Liliana Chorba, who had ten digs and three assists.

Hanover Central was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 12 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Merrillville only served three aces.

Hanover Central's win bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Merrillville, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-6.

Coming up, Hanover Central will head out to challenge Kouts at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Merrillville, they will host Crown Point at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The contest will give the Pirates their first taste of in-conference action this season.
