The Cambridge School Griffins put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They breezed by Mountain Empire at home to the tune of 53-19. The result was nothing new for The Cambridge School, who have now won six contests by 20 points or more so far this season.
Despite the loss, Mountain Empire still got an impressive performance from Carli McGhee, who scored eight points.
The Cambridge School's win was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-0. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 21.5 points. As for Mountain Empire, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season.
The Cambridge School won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Chula Vista Learning Community Charter at 4:00 p.m. on December 13th. Chula Vista Learning Community Charter comes in on a streak of failing to score more than nine points in their last four games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse. As for Mountain Empire, they will head out on the road to face off against King-Chavez Community at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday.
