Baseball Recap: Hillcrest Snags Fifth Victory in Last Six Games

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Los Osos, Hillcrest was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They never let the Vista del Lago Ravens get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory. The Trojans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matches by six runs or more this season.

James Henson was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-3. That's the most hits he has posted since back in February. Another player making a difference was Ryder DeJournett, who scored two runs while going 1-for-3.

Hillcrest hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They are a perfect 6-0 when they post two or more strikeouts.

Hillcrest is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-5-1 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.8 runs over those games. As for Vista del Lago, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-8.

Hillcrest will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Ravens: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday.
