Several Gauchos players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Madysen Dietz, who posted 12 points in addition to eight boards and four steals. Dietz is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed four or more in each of the last eight games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Shantelle Magana, who had eight points.
Whitney's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kendall Dykstra, who went 11-for-20 on her way to 27 points along with six rebounds and four steals. That's the most points Dykstra has posted since back in February of 2024. Tylie Kitchen was another key player, dropping a double-double with 11 points and 23 boards.
El Capitan's loss dropped their record down to 25-5. As for Whitney, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 17-13.
