Eric Sotelo was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. He tossed 2.1 innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Meanwhile, while Hesperia put up some runs on Saturday, the same can't be said for University Prep. The Scorpions blew past the Jaguars 8-0. Considering the Scorpions have won eight matchups by more than six runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.
University Prep's batters probably weren't too happy with Brenden Ozaki, who pitched a no hitter (he gave up two walks).
On the hitting side, Hunter Mayer was excellent, going 1-for-2 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Dru Lona, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and one run.

Oak Hills beat Hesperia 9-5 in their previous meeting back in March. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bulldogs since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
