Baseball Recap: Corcoran Snags 13th Win in Last 14 Games

Corcoran had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. Everything went their way against the Kennedy Thunderbirds on Friday as they made off with an 8-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Panthers, who have now won 15 games by seven runs or more so far this season.

Elijah Muthana was incredible, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with five stolen bases and three runs. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March. Brennan Botill was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and two runs.

Corcoran always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .556. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Kennedy only posted an OBP of .310.

Corcoran is on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 14 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-4 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for Kennedy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-14.

Coming up, Corcoran will host McLane at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Kennedy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
