Nuview Bridge is 10-0 against Temecula Prep since January of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Nuview Bridge Knights will head out on the road to face off against the Temecula Prep Patriots at 4:00 p.m.
Last Tuesday, Nuview Bridge took a serious blow against Desert Christian Academy, falling 62-11. While losing is never fun, Nuview Bridge can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 1041st, while Desert Christian Academy is ranked 421st).
Even though Temecula Prep has not done well against San Jacinto Valley Academy recently (they were 0-8 in their previous eight matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Everything went Temecula Prep's way against San Jacinto Valley Academy as Temecula Prep made off with a 54-32 win. The result was nothing new for Temecula Prep, who have now won five contests by 22 points or more so far this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Temecula Prep to victory, but perhaps none more so than Zylah Coleman, who scored 23 points. The contest was Coleman's fifth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Abby Bennett, who scored 15 points.
Nuview Bridge's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Temecula Prep, their win ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 6-7.
Nuview Bridge beat Temecula Prep 43-35 in their previous matchup back in January. Does Nuview Bridge have another victory up their sleeve, or will Temecula Prep turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
