Owner of the longest active win streak in high school football and the winner of four straight state championships,
Marion Local (Maria Stein, Ohio) also maintains the No. 1 team in the Small Town Top 25.
Marion Local ended the 2024 campaign with a 64-game win streak, which is the 19th longest streak in high school football history and the longest ever in Ohio. The Flyers dominated
Hillsdale (Jeromesville) 74-0 on Friday in the Division VII state championship game for their fourth title in a row and 15th overall – also a state record.
Nebraska C1 state champion
Wahoo is No. 2 after going 13-0.
Carthage (Texas), which finished No. 1 in the 2022 Small Town Top 25, comes in at No. 3. The Bulldogs still have a shot at finishing No. 1 if they win a state championship.

Iowa Class 2A state champion
West Lyon (Inwood) comes in at No. 4 with a 13-0 record.
Since teams receive an increase in their rating for competing in the postseason and winning a championship, states that have completed their state tournament or are playing championship games this weekend have more teams in the Small Town Top 25 than those that still have several weeks to play in the postseason.
In order to qualify for the Small Town Top 25, schools must have an enrollment of less than 1,000 students in a town with a population of 10,000 or less.
