The Hutchinson Tigers will face off against the Totino-Grace Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hutchinson is coming into the match hot, having won their last five games.
Hutchinson extended their postseason success on Friday against Marshall. They took down the Tigers 30-14. The score was all tied up 14-14 at the break, but Hutchinson was the (much) better team in the second half.
Meanwhile, Totino-Grace can now show off three landslide victories after their most recent match on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat St. Anthony Village 49-7 at home. Given Totino-Grace's advantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota football rankings (they are ranked 90th, while St. Anthony Village is ranked 239th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Justin Kuharski continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 116 yards and four touchdowns on only five carries. Kuharski's longest rush was for an incredible 87 yards. Marquel Keten was another key contributor, rushing for 86 yards and a touchdown.
Hutchinson has yet to lose a contest at home this season, leaving them with a 8-2 record. They've been dominating during the matchups in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 31.33 points. As for Totino-Grace, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-3.
Hutchinson strolled past Totino-Grace in their previous meeting back in September by a score of 20-3. Will Hutchinson repeat their success, or does Totino-Grace have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
