The Clayton Valley Charter Ugly Eagles suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Tuesday. They took a serious blow against Acalanes, falling 68-39. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Clayton Valley Charter has scored all season.
Ella Scott and Gabriella Cruz certainly did their best on Tuesday to try and avoid the loss. Scott dropped a double-double on 13 points and 13 rebounds, while Cruz scored eight points. Scott has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last five times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Anjanette Taguinod, who scored five points.
Clayton Valley Charter's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-5. As for Acalanes, they pushed their record up to 13-4 with that win, which was their fourth straight on the road.
Clayton Valley Charter will face off against Campolindo at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Campolindo will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. As for Acalanes, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Benicia at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Benicia is coming into the contest on a five-game losing streak.
