The Clovis North Broncos waltzed into their game on Tuesday with seven straight wins but they left with eight. They had just enough and edged Buchanan out 2-1. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Clovis North also won the last time the pair played back in January.
They were led to victory by the tag-team duo of
Sommer Nestman and
Addison Posey, who scored both of Clovis North's goals. The pair have combined for a total of 25 so far this season.
Clovis North is on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 15 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 17-3-2 record this season. As for Buchanan, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-5-4.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Clovis North will take on Clovis West at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Clovis North is coming into the match with eight straight victories at home, meaning Clovis West will have to defend against a team hungry for a win. Buchanan will take on Clovis East at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Clovis East's last three games have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
