They had to suffer through a rough 71-25 loss at the hands of Cornerstone Christian. Contra Costa Christian has not had much luck with Cornerstone Christian recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Cornerstone Christian's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Mecca Alexander, who scored 18 points along with three steals. Pamela-Joyce Allen was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with five steals.
Contra Costa Christian's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 5-7. As for Cornerstone Christian, their win bumped their record up to 13-5.
Contra Costa Christian will be playing in front of their home fans against Holy Names at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Cornerstone Christian won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against California Crosspoint at 5:30 p.m. on January 17th. California Crosspoint will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 1080th, while Cornerstone Christian is ranked 177th).
