The Millard South Patriots won the last time they faced the Omaha Northwest Huskies, and things went their way on Tuesday too. Millard South simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Omaha Northwest 69-28 on the road. With Millard South ahead 39-17 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
Despite the loss, Omaha Northwest had strong showings from Abriya Watkins, who scored 13 points along with three steals, and Jessica Houston, who scored nine points.
Millard South's win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-11. As for Omaha Northwest, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-14.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Millard South will take on Omaha Westside on Friday. Hopefully Omaha Westside focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 last Thursday. As for Omaha Northwest, they will head out on the road to take on Jefferson at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Omaha Northwest is facing Jefferson at the right time seeing as Jefferson is stuck on a 11-game losing streak.
