Baseball Recap: Hunt Picks Up Eighth Consecutive Win

Hunt waltzed into their game on Thursday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. They put the hurt on the Fike Demons with a sharp 9-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Warriors, who have now won 13 contests by seven runs or more so far this season.

Trevor Moore made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits over six innings pitched. He has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up more than two walks in ten consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two runs.

In other batting news, Hunt let Angel Saldona and Stone Massey run wild. Saldona went a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run, while Massey went 2-for-3 with three RBI and two doubles. Those two doubles gave Massey a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Zach Taylor, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.

Hunt was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .484. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Fike only posted a batting average of .125.

Hunt's record now sits at 19-3. As for Fike, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-14.

As of now, neither Hunt nor the Demons have any future games scheduled.
