Baseball Recap: Mcfarland Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

McFarland came into Thursday's match having lost six straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over the Laton Mustangs on Thursday. That's more bragging rights for the Cougars, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

McFarland's victory was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Cris Soto, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Soto has become a key player for the Cougars: the team is 4-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 4-13-1 otherwise.

McFarland's record is now 8-14-1. As for Laton, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-15-1.
