Frontier and Stockdale are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2018, but not for long. The Frontier Titans will head out on the road to challenge the Stockdale Mustangs at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully Frontier focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 on Friday.
Frontier can now show off 12 landslide victories after their most recent matchup. They claimed a resounding 60-12 win over Garces Memorial at home. Given Frontier's advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 387th, while Garces Memorial is ranked 1130th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Sage Sebastian went supernova for Frontier, dropping a double-double on 18 points and 13 steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Sebastian has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Alondra Delgado, who scored nine points along with three steals and three blocks.
Meanwhile, Stockdale's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They were dealt a 59-25 defeat at the hands of Liberty. Stockdale was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 33-11.
The victory makes it two in a row for Frontier and bumps their season record up to 14-5. As for Stockdale, their loss was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 2-13.
Frontier didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Stockdale when the teams last played back in February of 2023, but they still walked away with a 54-50 win. Does Frontier have another victory up their sleeve, or will Stockdale turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
