The Fowler Redcats won the last time they faced the Chowchilla Tribe, and things went their way on Friday too. Fowler snuck past Chowchilla with a 55-51 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Fowler.
Despite the defeat, Chowchilla saw an underclassman step up: Nour Escheik dropped a double-double on 16 points and 17 rebounds. Escheik has been hot recently, having posted nine or more rebounds the last 12 times she's played. Another player making a difference was Shalaya Moore, who scored seven points along with nine rebounds and three steals.
Fowler is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 16-11 record this season. As for Chowchilla, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-11.
Fowler does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Chowchilla, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Kings Christian at 6:00 p.m. Kings Christian will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Chowchilla surely won't give up without a fight.
